Nature and Art Quotes of the Month

BC Art Escapes is all about providing sustainable art, raising awareness about the importance of our natural environment, and how critical art is for our wellbeing – mind, body, and soul.

As a new creator and artist just starting out, it absolutely feels overwhelming, and to be honest, lonely, in a giant sea of other artists on social media. However, when I list the main values I wish to instill in my new business, making a huge pile of cash and getting famous do not make the list (although a little cash along the way would be a bonus).

Precisely what makes BC Art Escapes stand out from the rest?

  • My artwork is not mass-produced for broad consumption. My Canadian creations are a ‘slow art’ process; beautiful design takes time. Acrylic paintings are sold as originals and most photo and art prints are Limited Editions, making your purchase more unique and meaningful.
  • I upcycle photo cuttings into watercolour bookmarks, each an original, and give them away FREE with every art purchase. Almost everything I use can be repurposed in the future, avoiding landing in a landfill.
  • Lavender Luxuries Escapes (with a touch of mint) sachets are handcrafted in small batches from my 100% organic, spray-free, GMO-free garden, with limited processing to preserve a long-lasting, all-natural, sustainable scent that lasts up to five years. Every detail of the sachet, from the pouch to the wood charms, may be repurposed.
  • Escaping into art is essential to our well being in countless ways, from inspiring our imaginations to pulling us out of a creative (or depressive) rut. I visit art galleries on the regular and it always results in an elevated mood and frame of mind.
  • BC Art Escapes artworks are handcrafted, sustainable, and thoughtfully curated with eco-consciousness top of mind regarding materials used.
  • Art collectors who appreciate nature and care about the environment will find their values 100% in line with my own and feel good supporting caring values. More and more people are seeking out businesses who support similar ethics.

These characteristics and more make up what BC Art Escapes stands for and delivers to the Canadian art scene.

And now for the launch of my monthly Nature and Art Print Quote of the Month:

“To my mind, a picture should be something pleasant, cheerful, and pretty, yes pretty! There are too many unpleasant things in life as it is without creating still more of them.”

Pierre-Auguste Renoir

“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.”

Albert Einstein
