AN AUTUMNAL poem….
Thick slate swollen cloud cover
Embalms the sky and earth
Gentle pitter pats slowing soak the thirsty ground
Transforming into
Torrential torrents
A deluge
of welcome humidity, mists, sprays
Inside
Rivulets stream down windowpanes
Liquid glass on glass
Outside
Freshness pours downward
Collecting puddles in sidewalk depressions
Coveted stillness
Drips and drops
Drips and drops.
